Yo, yo, yo...I got a blog now, SNAP!

Hi! I've decided to start a blog. About what you ask? Hmmm, no clue! I guess just about my crazy, unconventional life! I live in West Africa with my hubby, John, and my son, Levi...oh, and 15 teenage girls! Scrap whatever you're thinking and let me just clarify. We run a home for missionary kids who have to go to school in another country, because there aren't any schools where their parents work. But don't worry, they love it. It's not the kind of boarding school that you immediately think of...you know, the kind where everyone wears a uniform all day long, and where nuns walk around with sticks whacking kids on the head. Think more like summer camp...but with school...and rules =0) Anyhoo, that's what I do. Never thought I'd be here in Senegal doing it.

I'm a pretty new Mom. My son just turned 11 months yesterday. I absolutely LOVE it! I think I fall more and more in love with him every day. Actually, I know I do. He is HILARIOUS! Seriously, he would make you laugh, too, it's not just cause' I'm his mama. And he's so stinkin' cute. I think I give him 300 kisses a day, fo' real. Anyway, he makes life...interesting =0) Forget ever being bored again. There's always something to do. Also, forget ever sleeping in again...or just sleeping. Ha!

I love fashion and I refuse to look like your average missionary. Or as one of my BFF's calls it: "Mish." I will never look mish. Besides, I'm only 27. So here I am, gallivanting around in the sand in my cowboy boots or whatever my choice look for the day is, totally out of place. I want the world to know that you can be funky, even in West Africa! Ok, so I'm honestly not on a mission or anything. I think I'll post a few pics each week of my different outfits. It's just fun for me...an expression if you will. Well, I don't want to bore anyone.
